COVID-19 And Air Filtration Technology

Our office has installed a brand new state of the art ductless air disinfection system in each clinical room. This system has been shown to remove viruses, bacteria, pollen, mold, and dust from the air. The system has been shown to remove COVID-19, as well as common cold and flu viruses, Step, Staph, Norwalk, MRSA as well as others.

Why is this so important?

Systems that use ducts connect all the rooms in a building, effectively sharing the air you breathe with other people. This has been suggested as a possible cause for the spread of COVID-19 and other diseases. 

 

At Concord Center Dental, the air in each clinical room is not shared with other clinical rooms and therefore, as a patient, your air is not shared with other patients. Each room is private, and not shared, like at other open space dental offices. 

Each room has its own individual system which filters and ionizes the air removing viral, bacterial, mold and any other particles. This is not only good news for defense against COVID-19 but common colds, flu's and other infections.

What is unique about the air filtration system at our office?

We are one of the only dental offices that uses a completely ductless/duct-free air system. Our air purification system provides the highest level of ionization on the market, producing 35 million ions/cc per linear foot.  Each cubic inch of air is actively treated with millions of ions which kill airborne viruses, bacteria, mold, pollen and dust. This drastically improves the safety of your visit. Unlike other cheaper systems, our system does not produce harmful  or toxic ozone by-products.

 

With a duct free system, no air is shared with other clinical rooms. Traditional duct systems work by sharing air from other rooms, and therefore other people. They are difficult to impossible to clean or disinfect, if even cleaned ever, and are considered a causative agent in the spread of COVID-19 and other infections.

Ever visit a dental office and get 'that smell'. Well that is not the case with our office, this system removes odors and unpleasant smells from the air.

Results:

Based on viral titrations, it was determined that at                                     

10 minutes, 84.2% of the virus was inactivated.

At 15 minutes, 92.6% of the virus was inactivated,

and at 30 minutes, 99.4% of the virus was inactivated.
