Case #8 Implant Overdenture

In this case the patient came from another office looking for a second opinion. Another office had recommended implant bridges, which, would have been very costly, and would not have worked out in his situation because of his collapsed bite.

The remaining upper teeth were removed, and implants placed in their position. The complete upper denture was then fixed to the implants with attachments. This provided a very secure attachment of the denture. The system we use allows different levels of retention/tightness. We were also able to remove the palatal coverage which traditional dentures have to rely on for retention.
